This year's MOK Fest traditional concert in the Picture House features artists from Ireland, Scotland, England and Norway. It takes place on August 22nd and features the return of Irish super group Dervish who previously headlined the Festival in 1995. They are joined on stage by multi international group Fribo boasting their new four-piece line-up with Arthur Johnstone making a welcome return as MC. Dervish's colourful career has spanned over 18 years and has taken them to every corner of the globe sharing centre stage with such names as James Brown, The Buena Vista Social Club, Oasis, Sting, REM, Beck and many more. A leading force in Irish music, attendees at the concert can expect the excitement and fun that is traditional Irish music. Their concert performances are a myriad of tones and moods ranging from high energy tunes, played with fluidity and intuitiveness to beautifully measured songs - from charming lyrics of life and love to inspiring melodies that lift audiences from their seats. All the elements are drawn together by Cathy Jordan's masterful voice and stage presence. Tickets are still available online at ticketweb or by telephone on 08444 771 000.
