The Picture House is one of seven local buildings taking part in Kintyre's Doors Open Days this year. The event takes place over the weekend of September 19th and 20th. The Picture House will open its doors to members of the public on both days from 14:00 to 16:00. Other local building with Open Doors include the Town Hall, Ardbeg, the Ardsheil Hotel, the Organic Garden and Machrimore Mill and the Parish Church, both in Southend.

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free annual architectural event.  It is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and is part of European Heritage Days. Doors Open Days give you free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland.  Every weekend in September you can explore places that are normally closed to the public.  Some open up once a year, some just once in a lifetime...
